Berlin-Germany - 31 May 2007---The Holocaust Memorial (Holocaust-Mahnmal, Denkmal für die ermordeten Juden Europas), a monument to the murdered jews of Europe, is a sprawling, sloping field of 19,000 square meters (4.7 acres) covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or "stelae" arranged in a grid pattern, including an underground information center; designed by architect Peter Eisenman and engineers Büro (Buro) Happold ---Photo: Horst Wagner/eup-images
